Tuna Pork was originally created by Paul Myrick with watercolor on paper. The story of this mythical creature, which is half pig and half fish, is attributed to Paul’s very good friend Robin Davis. Robin told Paul about a delicious and unforgettable pork she had in Italy and the name of the dish on the restaurant menu loosely translated to “tuna of the land”. Paul started thinking about the possibility of an actual animal that was tuna and lived on the land rather than in the sea — and here it is in art form. Paul still wants to try the tuna pork dish, but has never encountered it on his trips to Italy.
